Overview

Unfortunately Divorce is a fact of life.

With that in mind the decision is yours as to whether you wish to instruct a local lawyer to act on your behalf or whether you wish to shop around to find a competitive quote for the legal work.

If you're anything like me you'll both want to save money but at the same time won't want the hassle of chasing around to speak to anyone in the legal profession.

This is where we come in.

We'll ask for the following information;

  • Where you are in the country (England & Wales).
  • Whether both parties agree to the divorce
  • If you've been married for more than one year and...
  • If you have a current address for your spouse.

If you're in England or Wales, both parties agree to the divorce, you've been married for more than one year and you're still in touch we'll process the whole divorce, on your behalf, for the sum of £189 + VAT.

In terms of third party costs (generally called Disbursements) you'll need to allocate funds for the Court fees (approx £300.00), a Registrar fee (£10.00) & a Decree Absolute fee (£40.00).

Hence in total, with all parties agreeing, the fully managed cost will be less than £600.00.

If you're in a situation where the divorce is not an amicable one we'll find a divorce lawyer, in your area, who'll provide you with a minimum and maximum price for the work.

In the first instance pleace email your details to matt.hague@legalbrokers.co.uk and we'll start matters moving on your behalf.

Keep your chin up !

Regards

Matt & the LBL team

We'll call you back !
